Guitar Project Begins Today

I sent off the Photoshopped 'CHIAKI Brand Prototype", image of the guitar to Dan Lawrence in Los Angeles last month. He likes the design and gave me the thumbs up. I have spent the last month looking for a luthier that can actually build me a body and neck to my specs. We all know what we like in terms of the feel of the neck and the body, but I needed someone that can translate that into actual dimensions. The radius the nut width, the exact measurements of the neck etc. etc. I think I found the perfect man that can become a huge part of this project. A small door to a huge Future LOL! 一月かけてやっとギターのボデーとネックを作ってくれる人物を見つけ上げる事が出来ました。去年の１１月にロスに在住する７０年代から数多くのミュージシャンのギター＆ベース・グラフィックを塗って来た男にデザインを送り話を進めて来ました。彼は　Eddie Van Halen, George Lynch, Warren De Martini, Slash, Zakk, Zappa....... と取りあえずMTVでおなじみのギターをすべて塗って来た人物です。そのダン・ローレンンス氏に今回のプロジェクト参加してもらいます。　今日からプロジェクト本格的に開始です。

Vai 本人が所有する「一号機」は盗難されてしまい、これは、パフォーマンス社の工房にて厳重にストックされてきた、1988年、貴重な「一号機」と同時期に生産された同仕様プロトモデル。（ボディバック部トレモロスプンリング・キャビティにはパフォーマンス社の代表であるシニアマスター・ビルダー須貝氏のサインが施されているプロト・タイプ）This guitar was made in 1988, by Performance Guitars. The same time Steve's guitar was made. Proto Type number 2. Number 1 was owned by Mr. Vai, but was later stolen.
