New Recording Device "MIKEY"

I have been looking for a super portable recording device that can be used in tight situations (in the PIT). I borrowed my friends little device produced by a company called, Blue. I took this MIKEY, along with me to a show in Santa Clara CA on Thursday to see Lizzy Borden. Had my Flip MinoHD in one hand and MIKEY connected to my iTouch in the other. (position: stage right leaning on the stage) Unfortunately, even with the lowest mic gain setting, the audio did not turn out well. Lets just say, total distortion. This is the original MIKEY, and the NEW MIKEY will be available sometime this year. Hope the new version has more settings.
