MIJ (Made in Japan) IZURU Skull Ringu. Picked this piece up this Spring in Ura-Harajuku Tokyo Japan. Finished in brushed silver supporting the engraved brand Logo "IZURU", in the inner ring. This Skull also wears a traditional Kuwagata. (a stylized deer horn like element found on a Japanese armor helmet worn by a Samurai/Bushi). Luxurious armors were produced for the higher ranking Samurais mostly differentiated by the shape of the horn. My mother said, "that Horn is the same design that your Grand Parents gave you". At that point this Ringu turned into something special. In Japan, a Boy is given a miniature Kabuto to display on their mantle to celebrate Boys' Day (May 5th). The parents will choose a Samurai that best suits their child for strength, courage, and health. What was displayed on my mantle as a kid back home will be with me forever. This is mine and all I can say now is Horns UP! Things happen for a reason.
